ABOUT US:

The many functions of Bikur Cholim of NMB.

I. RESPONDING; to calls on the Bikur Cholim Line. Urgent calls taking
priority.
II. VISITING JEWISH PATIENTS; in hospitals, nursing homes, in their homes
as well on the phone.
III. TRANSPORTATION; to and from doctors offices, rehabilitation programs
and various therapies.
IV. EQUIPEMENT; medical equipment is lent out to our community
members when available. Some equipment requires a deposit and/or a
Drs’ prescription.
V. MEALS; food preparation and delivery.
VI. EVALUATIONS; (crises); situations with our professional social worker
for cases that need immediate responses/solutions.
VII. FUNDS; are raised so that the necessary medical attention or
prescriptions, and home health care can be provided.

WHAT MAKES US SPECIAL;
Bikur Cholim of NMB is NOT run like a business, but we make it
our business to be there for every person with our whole heart
for anyone needing our help; that’s our mission.
